Why do people delay personal financial planning?

In: financial

People need financial planning at every stage of their lives, whether it be debt reduction, buying a house or a car, marriage, divorce, and the biggest concern of most working people
—retirement. Why don’t more people realize that the financial decisions they make today have a direct effect on the life they will be able to afford tomorrow?

Most of us don’t have enough money to cover our minimum expenses. Why worry about something you are never going to be able to control or improve?

I take it that you are a Financial Planner. Where did you get your education?

Take your pick.

a) No discipline.
b) No education in finance — a product of our public schools.
c) No goals for the future — just live for today.
d) All of the above.

I do my own planning. It’s not rocket science.

By the way… anyone seen my rocket?

Personal financing should start IN THE HOME at an early age, hopefully by parents who have a sucessful financial plan and outlook. Children learn what they live.

Poeple delay their future financial planning because we can not predict the futur, so the cost of money today is not the cost of money of tomorrow and the interest rate of today is not the interest rate of tomorrow. It is like buying and selling futures contracts with options in the stock exchange. We may not buy waiting for higher prices , and we may not sell if the prices are low at the same time we are under the constraint of contract maturation.

It is like this. am I clear !!
